The Crypto / AI Workstation is a dual-purpose six-GPU rig with 48GB of combined VRAM — engineered to switch effortlessly between profitable mining and demanding AI / ML workloads.
Project story
This project was built for a client who wanted a single powerful rig that can either mine crypto during quiet hours or run AI training and inference jobs on demand.
Planning focused on GPU density, VRAM per card, PCIe layout and power delivery — the factors that decide whether a multi-GPU rig is a reliable tool or a constant source of problems.
Six RTX 3070 cards were carefully sourced primarily from Alza.sk and other trusted retailers, chosen for their strong VRAM-to-price ratio and proven reliability under continuous load.
Two robust power supplies, 64GB of DDR4 memory and a fast NVMe SSD create a foundation that comfortably handles AI frameworks and mining software at the same time.
The rig was assembled on a custom open frame with server-grade fans, undervolted GPUs and remote monitoring, so the owner can switch workloads and check status from anywhere.
