NIGHTCUPS is a modern gaming platform built to host online tournaments, manage teams and grow a global player community around one clean, responsive interface.
Project story
NIGHTCUPS started as a request from a young gaming community that wanted a professional home for their online tournaments instead of chatting through fragmented Discord threads and Google Sheets.
The main goal was to design a fast, mobile-first website where players can register, join teams, follow brackets and check tournament schedules from any device.
The project was built on a modern React and TypeScript stack, with a component-driven UI, a responsive dark theme and animations that give the interface a real esports feel.
Team and community management was solved through structured profiles, roles and match cards, so organisers can run several tournaments at the same time without losing visibility.
Every screen was tested on mobile first — from onboarding to live brackets — because the majority of players open the platform from their phone during matches.
